{inner beauty}

And now for something a little different...

{arches & glass}

This is in the rotunda of the Administration Building on the campus of Texas A&M University.
I'm looking forward to doing some bridal portraits in this rotunda soon. The bride's mother worked in this building many years ago, and the bride, as a child, would play on this beautiful granite floor...
The columns on the front of the Administration Building have been used in many, many bridal portraits - including some I've done. So I look forward trying out the inside!

{Nycole + Brad engaged!}

Whew! I'm way behind on posts here! Back in July my husband and I had an engagement shoot with Nycole and Brad. It took a little bit for everyone to loosen up - but it turned out to be a very nice shoot! We look forward to the bridals and wedding next year! There's more from this set in the portfolio on our website (see post below), but here's a couple of my favorites.

Website Updated!

It's been a crazy, crazy time lately... new job, lots of freelance, and lots of photography post processing. I finally came to a small break in work and was able to update the portfolio section of the website. Take a look and tell me what you think!

{Jennifer + Brice 06.07.08}

What can I say?! There's nothing better than shooting a wedding for a friend (and fellow photographer)- especially when she's the most animated bride EVER and they are the absolute cutest couple ever. Jennifer and Brice were married in Anton, TX, about 30 minutes from Lubbock (where we stayed), so we made the trip, and it was completely worth it! The setting was dark (not good for a photographer) but extremely ROMANTIC. It was such a perfect setting for these two.

We had such a BLAST and the families were just wonderful - we felt like family members the minute we met them. On with the pictures!

{Ashala + David Wedding}

What fun we (& the family) had at the wedding of Ashala & David on May 3rd! All went off without a hitch even though the groom got into a minor fender bender on the way to the hotel to get dressed (eek!!) The festivities were held at the Astin Mansion in Bryan, including a horse-drawn carriage and a Playstation 2 groom's cake!

{Jennifer's bridals}

It was just us girls for this shoot. It's so nice when working with a personal friend and fellow photographer on a photo shoot! Jennifer is the easiest person I've worked with to date. We both had different ideas and it was so much fun trying them out - and laughing when they didn't quite work! ha!

{Jennifer+Brice Engagement} & more

I'm a little behind... so I'm trying to get caught up with a few posts today.

Last month I shot engagements for Jennifer and Brice. We had a good time but we had to beat the bluebonnets! They just don't last long enough in my opinion, but we all love them while they last :)

Love is a Work of Heart

I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot the wedding of Chris & Christina on Feb. 2. Even though the groundhog saw his shadow, the weather was perfect - not a cloud in the sky for most of the day. Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Messina Hof Winery and Resort - where they have great food and even better wine! I was lucky enough to have my wonderful husband shoot with me, and we had a blast! The day went by very quickly, so here's a few photos from the special day.

Circles of Love

Last week, I finally had time to play a little with my new Fujifim S5 Pro
after the craziness of Christmas!

It just so happened that it was my birthday last Wednesday (we won't go into which one!) and my husband was nice enough to get me a dozen pink roses. He knew I'd enjoy getting them, but he also knew I'd enjoy playing with them!

Here's a couple of wedding ring shots & roses:
